PROJECT KOREA: WEEK 18 MY SUNDAY OF RELAX DAY

OK SO TODAY IS MY NON STRESS DAY.
BUT I ALSO GOT UP AT 12:30PM AND DIDN'T GET OUT TO EXPLORE THE BULDANG-DONG AREA (WHICH IS THE AREA THAT I NOW LIVE) UNTIL AROUND 3:30PM.

#LAZYMODE

WENT OUT FOR A WALK, AND KEPT ON REMINDING MYSELF THAT I NEED TO SEE DAYLIGHT MORE OFTEN SINCE I WORK FROM 2PM AND ON DURING THE WEEKDAYS.

WALKING OUT OF MY SUBDIVISION AND HUNTING FOR STARBUCKS. IT WAS A BIT CHILLY STILL, BUT THE SUN WAS GOOD ENOUGH.

#FAILURE
DECIDED TO MAKE ANOTHER ATTEMPT TO FIND LANDLORD'S DAUGHTER'S COFFEE SHOP THAT SHE HAD JUST OPENED AROUND A MONTH AGO AND FAILED AGAIN.
THINK THIS IS THE 2ND OR 3RD TIME I'VE FAILED TO LOCATED THIS PLACE.

THEY HAD EVEN SAVED IT ON MY PHONE UNDER GOOGLE MAPS, BUT UNFORTUNATELY THE LOCATION IS IN KOREAN AND I HAVE SO MANY SAVED STARS AROUND THAT AREA THAT I DIDN'T KNOW I HAD STARRED. AND ON TOP OF THAT, TODAY WHILE I WAS USING MY GOOGLE MAP TO LOOK FOR STARBUCKS DUE TO MY BRAIN FART WITH THE ONE THAT I ALWAYS COME ACROSS IN THAT MY, THE MAP POINTED ME TO SEOUL (WHICH IS AN HOUR AWAY) SO I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S UP WITH THAT.

BUT I WAS REALLY HAPPY TO FINALLY REMEMBER THIS STARBUCKS IN MY AREA, WHICH IS THE BULDANG-DONG AREA IN CHEONAN.

I WAS LOOKING FOR A DARK BLEND WITH SOME SORT OF FLAVOR INSTEAD OF THE NORMAL BLAH-NESS FOR MY PALATE AND THE ONLY ONE SITTING IN THE BASKET THAT I WAS EYEING ON WAS THE DARK CHERRY & SPICE BLEND.

I WISHED THAT THEY HAD IT ON THE MENU FOR ME TO PURCHASE A CUP TO TRY BUT THEY ONLY HAD THE CHRISTMAS FLAVOR, IN WHICH IT WAS NOT OFFERED IN THE BAGS.  THE GIRL OVER THE COUNTER (AKA BARISTA) SAID THAT IT WAS A LITTLE SPICY. SO WE WILL HAVE TO SEE IN WHAT DEGREE SHE MEANS BY "A LITTLE SPICY".......

I HOPE IT IS NOT TOO SPICY FOR MY LIKING.

IT WAS 18,000 WON, THAT MEANS THAT IT IS AROUND $15 FOR THIS BAG OF COFFEE SPICE. I AM HOPING THAT IT IS WORTH IT AS I AM REALLY SICK OF ALL THE OTHER BLAND COFFEES IN KOREA. THEY ARE NOT AS STRONG. AND I'M NOT EVEN A HARD COFFEE LOVER.

I DID TRY IT LATER ON AND THERE IS NOTHING CHERRY & SPICE ABOUT IT. IT IS HOWEVER, STRONGER THAN THE PREVIOUS KOREAN PACKAGE THAT I BOUGHT. AND THE AROMA IS JUST FABULOUS!

AFTERWARDS, HEADED BACK TO THE APARTMENT WHILE IT WAS STILL DAYLIGHT TO MAKE MY PASTA THAT HAD BEEN SOAKING IN WATER BEFORE I LEFT EARLIER ON. PASSING BY THE SO CALLED "BAD" SIDE OF TOWN, THE HOMER SIMPSON ART WAS ENTERTAINING.

ALTHOUGH I FEEL LIKE I AM CONSUMING SO MUCH CARBS DUE TO THE LACK OF DESIRE IN MAKING MEAT, I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO THE ALFREDO SAUCE WITH SUN DRIED TOMATOES THAT I CAUGHT ON SALE AT EMART.

I HOPE TO BE STICKING TO THE PLAN OF ABSORBING DAYLIGHT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. AND THEN EITHER BLOGGING OF SOME SORT AT THE CAFE (BECAUSE I'M SURELY WILL NOT DO IT AT THE APARTMENT) AND THEN HEADING BACK TO APARTMENT TO WATCH FREE MOVIES ON THE LAPTOP AFTER THE CAFE CLOSES AT 12AM. SURPRISINGLY THERE ARE PLENTY OF SITES THAT ALLOW ME WATCH FREE AMERICAN AND INTERNATIONAL MOVIES WITHOUT ANY SUBSCRIPTION. SOMETHING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF.

HEADED TO CAFFE BENE SINCE IT IS JUST ACROSS THE STREET FROM MY CRIB.
I NEED TO EXPLORE THE OTHER CAFE SHOPS, BUT I HAVE NOTICED THAT MOST ARE CLOSED AT 11PM, BUT CAFFE BENE HAS AN HOUR FOR ME TO EXTEND TO BEFORE HOPPING BACK TO MY CRIB.

I DIDN'T BOTHER TO ORDER ANYTHING FROM CAFFE BENE, AS I AM NOT REALLY A FAN OF THEIR DRINKS. AND I HAD JUST SCARFED DOWN THE PASTA AND ALFREDO SAUCE THAT I MADE. IT IS PROBABLY FROWNED UPON TO JUST WALTZ IN THERE WITH OUT BUYING ANYTHING, BUT OH WELL!

I FOUND A GREAT SEAT NEAR THE DOOR WITH AN OUTLET!

PEOPLE STARTED COMING IN AFTER 9:30PM. KOREANS JUST DON'T WANT TO BE HOME. I SAW A RANGE OF PEOPLE FROM COUPLES TO FAMILIES TO GROUPS.

SPOTTED A REGULAR, AND WHEN I GLANCED OVER, I NOTICED THAT SHE WAS WORKING ON HER ILLUSTRATION. SHE WAS THE LAST TO LEAVE.

2013 10 22 MY TRIP TO HONG KONG LAYOVER THROUGH NEWARK LIBERTY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

TYPICALLY, I LOVE TO EXPLORE IN AIRPORTS AND LOOK AROUND IN THEIR SHOPS.
HOWEVER, WE HAD ONLY LESS THAN 3 HOURS BEFORE OUR FLIGHT TO HONG KONG SO THERE WERE NOT ENOUGH TIME TO WANDER WITH AN UNFED GROWLING STOMACH.

THIS AIRPORT WAS PRETTY BIG AND THE FOOD OPTIONS THAT WERE NEAR OUR NEXT FLIGHT DID NOT SEEM TO JUMP OUT AT ME.  WE WERE AROUND TERMINAL C.

TERMINAL C HAD:

Quick Meal

· Americo's Pizza
· Au Bon Pain
· Asian Chao· Auntie Anne's
· Balducci's: good to-go salads, pre-made entrees, sandwiches.
· Ben and Jerry's
· Brooklyn Deli
· Crumbs Bake Shop
· Dunkin' Donuts
· Famous Famiglia Pizza
· Hudson News/Euro Café
· Jake's Coffee House
· Jamba Juice
· Juan Valdez: airport coffee
· La Tapenade
· McDonald's
· Smashburger: Growing burger chain Smashburger serves up a very decent fast food patty. When there's no Shake Shack or Five Guys around, this is the chain to hit (post-security, Gates C120-139).*
· Starbucks
· The Grove
· Treat Street
· Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen
· Vito's Deli
· Wok & Roll

Fast Casual/Bars

· Greenleaf's Grill
· Hamachi Sushi
· Ruby's Diner
· Samuel Adam's Brew Club
· Caliente Cab: tacos and margaritas
· Garden State Diner: The closest thing in this airport to a true New Jersey diner experience.
· Guinness Pub
· Heineken Lounge.
· Vino Volo:. A nice chain of airport wine bar

Leisurely Meal

· Le Grand Comptoir: chain of airport wine bars serving a great list of vino along with snacks (baked camembert, beef carpaccio), salads, sandwiches, and heartier mains
· Gallagher's Steakhouse: New York's Gallagher's Steakhouse is transported to Newark, complete with checkered tablecloths and old photos. The menu features steak, salad, jumbo shrimp cocktail, onion soup, and other classics
· Grand Central Oyster Bar: Sure you're missing the ambiance that is 85% of what makes the original Grand Central Oyster bar so great, but hey, this is a great place for some crab cakes or fried calamari and a glass of wine pre or post flight.

SPOTTED CRUMB'S CUPCAKES (IN WHICH I WANTED, BUT MY STOMACH WAS SCREAMING "REAL FOOD PLEASE!"

IN THE BACK OF MY MIND, I WANTED BURGER FOR SOME REASON.

PERHAPS I WAS WONDERING IF I WOULD GET SOME REAL TASTING BURGER IN HONG KONG.  I'VE NEVER HAD A SMASHBURGER BEFORE AND WAS CURIOUS.  THIS COULD BE THE LAST "AMERICAN TYPE MEAL" BEFORE I GO ALL HONG KONG FOODIE ON MY TRIP!

WE DECIDED ON THE MUSHROOM SWISS.  AND AFTER THE FIRST BITE, I THINK I YELPED OUT, "HOLY HEAVEN!"

TRUFFLE MUSHROOM SWISS
Truffle mayo, sauteed baby portabella mushrooms and aged Swiss on an egg bun.

OKAY.  I KNOW THAT MUSHROOM SWISS IS POPULAR AND SEEN ON LOTS OF MENUS EVERYWHERE.  BUT, WHERE IS THIS IN ORLANDO?????
FIVE GUYS AND STEAK AND SHAKE, PLEASE STEP ASIDE BECAUSE THIS IS BEYOND GREAT!  EVERY ITEM THAT MADE UP THIS BURGER WAS PERFECT.  THE TEXTURE, THE TENDERNESS AND THE JUICINESS OF THE MEAT, THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF BUTTER AND THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF TIME THE BUTTERED BUN WAS TOASTED ON THE GRILL,  THE MAYO MELTED WITH THE CHEESE WAS A PERFECT BALANCE. AND THIS "TRUFFLE MAYO" HAD SOME SORT OF SWEETNESS TO IT.  THE OIL FROM THE MAYO AND MEAT WAS SOAKED AT THE BOTTOM OF THE BUN.  I ALMOST LICKED THE BOX.  I WOULD HAVE ORDERED ANOTHER TO BE INDULGED LATER ON THE PLANE, BUT I KNEW THERE WOULD BE NON STOP SERVINGS OF FOOD ON THE FLIGHT UPON TAKE OFF.

I REALLY HOPE THIS GREATNESS IS NOT RANDOM BECAUSE I HATE RETURNING TO PLACES WHERE TASTES CHANGES AND MAKE ME QUESTION MY FORMER EXPERIENCE.

SIGH.....I NEED TO STOP TALKING ABOUT SMASHBURGER BECAUSE IT DOES NOT EXIST IN ORLANDO.  ACTUALLY,  I NEED TO WRITE TO THEM TO SEE IF FUTURE SMASHBURGER IS IN THE PLANS.
(SIDE NOTE: FROM PREVIOUS ORLANDO OUTINGS, RED ROBINS IS PRETTY GOOD TOO!)

FOR SHITS AND GIGGLES, ASIAN CHAO WAS ALSO ORDERED.  I FIGURED, THIS WOULD BE THE TEMPORARY FAREWELL TO THE "AMERICANIZED" CHINESE FOOD BEFORE THE REAL DEAL ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD. WAIT, WHAT ETHNICITY DO I SEE COOKING THE FOOD?  I GUESS THIS OFFICIALLY CONSTITUTES THE "AMERICANIZED" CHINESE FOOD.

EGG ROLL WITH THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF CRISP.  LO MEIN AND CHICKEN TASTED AS EXPECTED.  TYPICAL. SLIGHTLY ON THE SALTY SIDE.

EGG ROLL, BOURBON  CHICKEN, LO MEIN

2013 10 22 MY TRIP TO HONG KONG WITH UNITED AIRLINES CONNECTING FROM ORLANDO TO NEWARK FIRST

MY TRIP TO HK ENTAILS FLYING TO NEWARK FIRST TO CONNECT A LONG, LONG FLIGHT TO HONG KONG.  DURING PREVIOUS CONVERSATION WITH OUR TRAVEL AGENT, WE SPECIFICALLY ASKED NOT TO CONNECT THROUGH CALIFORNIA, OR ANYWHERE ON THE WEST SIDE BECAUSE WE HEARD THAT CUSTOMS WERE A BIT MORE STRICT ON THAT SIDE.  SO, CONNECTING TO NEWARK WE GO!
VIEW FROM ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

NICE CORNER POCKET OF BLUE.....

OFF THE RUNWAY WE GO !

UP IN THE AIR A LITTLE BIT MORE......
ENJOYING THE SEA OF CLOUDS.

ABOUT 2.5 HOURS BEFORE ARRIVING TO NEWARK, TIME TO KICK BACK EVEN THOUGH THERE IS LIMITED AMOUNT OF SPACE.  NO BUSINESS CLASS THIS TIME ;)

ONLY 2.5 HOURS AND SITTING AS COMMONERS SETS US TO DRINKS AND MAYBE A MINI BAG OF PRETZELS, BUT I MIGHT HAVE FORGOTTEN TO TAKE A PICTURE OF IT.

.....BUT, THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE AS I TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING.

PERHAPS ACCIDENTALLY DELETED.

AND BEFORE YOU KNOW IT, IT WAS LANDING TIME @ 12:15 PM AT NEWARK AIRPORT.

2013 09 13 ORLANDO FLORIDA IS BOILING HOT

IT IS MUY HOT!  THIS IS COMING FROM CAR THAT IS SITTING UNDER SCORCHING SUN SINCE THE GARAGE IS TOO LAZY TO ORGANIZE ITSELF!

I COULD PROBABLY ROAST SOMETHING IN THE CAR.
BUT THAT COULD BE ME.

DAYS LIKE THIS MAKES ME "NOT" ENJOY THE OUTDOORS.  IT IS SUCH AN
I LITERALLY RAN BACK IN THE HOUSE AFTER ERRANDS TO SHOWER.
SUCH A PROCESS TO ENDURE ALONG WITH THIS.
1.  PUT SUNBLOCK ON
2.  LEAVE THE HOUSE
3.  DUCK IN SHADES WHEN POSSIBLE
4.  RETURN HOME
5.  SHOWER OFF THE SWEAT!

2013 06 30 ORLANDO RESTAURANT MARLOWs TAVERN AND ATMOSPHERE

MARLOW'S TAVERN WINTER PARK
Address: 1008 S Orlando Ave, Winter Park, FL 32789
Phone:(407) 960-3670

Hours:  Friday hours 11:30 am–12:00 am
MARLOW'S TAVERN

MY FIRST VISIT TO MARLOW'S TAVERN WAS INTERESTING. THE SET UP WAS TRICKY. DID NOT CIRCLE THE ENTIRE BUILDING TO REALIZE THAT THERE WERE TWO ENTRANCES.  IT WAS HARD TO TELL WHICH WAS THE MAIN ENTRANCE. AND, WE WERE PLAYING HIDE AND SEEK.

WHILE WAITING FOR FRIEND IN PARKING LOT AND NOT SEEING HIS CAR, I WENT INSIDE TO PEAK AND DID NOT REALIZING THAT THE PARKING LOT SANDWHICHED THE RESTAURANT.

SO, WE WERE BOTH WAITING AT THE PARKING LOT AT THE SAME TIME ON OPPOSITE ENDS WITH THE RESTAURANT IN THE MIDDLE.  (IT WAS ENTERTAINING BECAUSE FOR A SECOND I THOUGHT I WAS IN THE WRONG RESTAURANT.) WE COULD HAVE JUST WAITED INSIDE. HA!

THE DOOR HANDLES ARE SOOOOO CUTE.
I THOUGHT THE OTHER SIDE WOULD HAVE A FORK HANDLE, BUT NOPE, ALL SPOON.

INSIDE WAS NICE AND DARK WITH HIGH COMFTY BOOTHS TO SIT IN.
BUT AT THE SAME TIME, IT WAS SO DARK AND THE LIGHTS THAT WERE SHINING DOWN ON EACH TABLE WERE SO STRONG THAT IT WAS HARD TO READ THE MENU WITH THE GLARE.  I WAS CONSTANTLY SHIFTING MY MENU TO DODGE AND GET LIGHT AT THE SAME TIME.  OH BOY!

NOTICED THAT THEIR "WALL DECOR" WAS FULL OF BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOS THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE RESTAURANT.  THE RED CEILINGS ARE BRILLIANT, GIVING IT THAT RED MOODY GLOW.  I ALSO LOVE THE SPLASH OF RED THAT ARE SPORADICALLY ACCENTUATED ABOVE THEIR DROP DOWN LIGHTS. MODERN CHIC!

2013 06 30 ORLANDO FOOD FINDS AT MARLOWS TAVERN

MARLOW'S TAVERN WINTER PARK
Address: 1008 S Orlando Ave, Winter Park, FL 32789
Phone:(407) 960-3670

Hours:  Friday hours 11:30 am–12:00 am

DROPPED IN MARLOW'S TAVERN IN WINTER PARK ONE FINE, YET RAINY SUNDAY AFTERNOON.  OVERALL, THE FOOD AND SERVICE WAS GREAT.

Location : 1008 S. Orlando Avenue (17-92) Winter Park, FL 32789

AND FOUND GREAT FOOD, LOW LIGHTING ATMOSPHERE, AND SOME FUN CHEERY STAFF INCLUDING ONE OF THEIR CHEF THAT STOPPED BY THE TABLE TO GREET AND INTRODUCE  NEW FOOD THAT I DID NOT EVEN SPOT ON THE MENU.

STARTED OF WITH LIGHT APPETIZER OF THEIR HUMMUS ($6.00).

PRETTY AVERAGE HUMMUS.

Grilled, Toasty Pita Points, Crisp, Fresh Veggies and Marinated Feta ($6.00)

THE STEAK CAME OUT AND I THOUGHT TO MYSELF: IT LOOKED PRETTY TINY.  LATER, A CHEF CAME OUT TO GREET US FOR WHATEVER REASON.  PERHAPS HE KEPT ON SEEING MY CAMERA FLASHES FROM HIS OPEN KITCHEN.  HE TOLD US THAT THIS IS A REALLY GOOD PRICE FOR THIS SIZE OF "CENTER CUT FILET".  DID HE READ MY MIND OR IS THAT A POPULAR QUESTION ASKED BY CUSTOMERS?

Grilled "center Cut" Filet - crispy wild mushroom potato cake, baby broccolini, garlic tomato fondue, harvey's bristol cream, scented veal jus and crumbling gorgonzola ($19)

THEN COMES MY PLATE.  WHERE EVER I FIND SHRIMP AND GRITS, I FEEL LIKE I NEED TO TRY AT LEAST ONCE.  EVEN AFTER EYEBALLING THE MENU MULTIPLE TIMES, MY DECISION ROLLS BACK TO.....SHRIMP AND GRITS!
Shrimp & Grits - white cheddar grit cake, spinach, tomato, shallot and sauce beurre blanc ($15)

I DON'T THINK I'VE EVER TRIED GRITS IN CAKE FORM, NOR WHITE CHEDDAR. WHITE CHEDDAR GRIT CAKES WERE DEFINITELY DIFFERENT.
DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE THE GRITS WERE IN CAKE FORM AND THAT PIECE WAS BROKEN OFF UNTIL THE CHEF WHO CAME OUT TO GREET US, POINTED IT OUT.  YOU CAN TASTE THE WHITE CHEDDAR BUT IT WAS NOT STRONG.

THERE WERE A DECENT AMOUNT OF SHRIMP, GIVEN THAT THERE WAS NOTHING TO FLUFF IT UP.  I SORT OF WISHED THE PLATE WAS STEEP TO GIVE THE ILLUSION OF A HUGE $15 PLATE OF FOOD.  OR, MAKE THICKER GRIT CAKES.

I THINK THIS CHEF CAME OUT TO CHAT WITH US MORE THAN 3 TIMES.
AFTER DISCOVERING THAT WE'VE NEVER TRIED THE JALAPENO GRITS, HE CAME BACK WITH A LITTLE SAMPLE PLATE.  THE SAMPLE PLATE WAS AS BIG AS THE PLATE OF HUMMUS.  I OVER LOOKED THIS ON THE MENU.  OF COURSE! BECAUSE THEIR SIDE ITEMS WERE LITERALLY LISTED VERTICALLY ON THE SIDE OF THE MENU! I'M REALLY GLAD HE MENTIONED ABOUT IT.

IT WAS GOOD THOUGH.  WAS NOT SPICY LIKE I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE.  INSTEAD, IT JUST HAD A HINT OF JALAPENO FLAVOR TO IT (WITHOUT THE SPICE).

REALLY SURPRISED THAT THIS JALAPENO GRITS IS A SIDE ITEM.

IT SEEM LIKE IT SHOULD BE SERVED AS MAIN DISH WITH SOME SORT OF BEEF.

Jalapeno Corn Grits - nora mills stone ground grit cakes with a hint of jalapeno

I WONDER WHAT I WILL BE TRYING NEXT TIME, BECAUSE THERE WILL BE A NEXT TIME.  THERE IS ONE ON INTERNATIONAL DRIVE.  HOPING TO HAVE SAME TYPE OF PLEASANT AND VIBRANT STAFF AT THE I-DRIVE LOCATION AS WELL.  UNTIL NEXT TIME.....

2012 12.24 ETHNIC ICE CREAM FINDS AT INTERNATIONAL FOOD CLUB

INTERNATIONAL FOOD CLUB
Address: 4300 L B McLeod Rd, Orlando, FL 32811
Phone:(321) 281-4300

Hours:  Friday hours 9:30 am–7:00 pm

BACK IN DECEMBER I MADE MY 2ND TRIP BACK TO THIS GROCERY STORE THAT IS HIDDEN IN THIS AREA THAT I WOULD NEVER HAVE GUESSED TO BE AN ETHNIC GROCERY STORE.

ONE OF THE ITEMS I PICKED UP OUT OF CURIOSITY WAS THIS ICE CREAM/SHERBET WITH RICE NOODLE.

ROSE WATER INFUSED SHERBET WITH RICE NOODLES WAS THE DESCRIPTION.

AFTER TRYING, I WOULD HAVE TO SAY......"ICK".
THE NOODLES WERE VERY SOFT AND THE OVERALL TASTE  WAS VERY BLAND.  YOU CAN DEFINITELY TASTE THE ROSE WATER. IT WAS LIKE TASTING PERFUME WITH NOODLES.  DUH! I DONT EVEN LIKE THE ROSE TASTE IN WINES.

I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT I WOULD NOT LIKE THIS COMBINATION.

2012 11.30 ORLANDO FOOD FINDS_TWIST ASIAN FUSION

TWIST ASIAN FUSION
45 West Crystal Lake Street  Orlando, FL 32806

WOKE UP AND DECIDED TO GO CHECK OUT SODO.  WHAT ON EARTH IS SODO.
LOOKED IT UP AND DUH! IT STANDS FOR SOUTH OF DOWNTOWN ORLANDO.I REMEMBER COMING HERE ON THE FLY ONE DAY AND TWIST ASIAN FUSION CAUGHT MY EYE.  SO  I HAD TO COME BACK!

ALTHOUGH THE NAME GAVE ME A DIFFERENT IDEA OF WHAT THE MENU WAS GOING TO BE LIKE, I FOUND THE SELECTION TO BE A YAWN.  I DIDN'T REALLY SEE ANY "TWIST" TO THIS PLACE. AND THERE WAS NOTHING FUSION ABOUT THE FOOD WITH THE EXCEPTION  THAT IT INCORPORATED CHINESE AND SUSHI, AND A LITTLE CURRY AS THE DIFFERENT TYPE OF ASIAN FOOD IN THEIR MENU.  THE DECOR WAS AMAZING.  THE AMOUNT OF CUSTOMERS ON A THURSDAY LATE AFTERNOON WAS SAD.  BUT THAT GAVE ME ROOM TO TAKE PIX WITH NO CLUTTER OF VISUALS, AKA PEOPLE!

THE PRICES WERE SLIGHT ON THE HIGH END, BUT I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT SOME OF THE RAW FISHES IN THE SUSHI FROM OUR ORDERS WERE EXTREMELY FRESH!  SCANNED THROUGH THE MENU A FEW TIMES AS ALWAYS AND THERE WAS NOTHING NEW NOR ENTICING AT THE MOMENT.

EVEN THOUGH I HAVE HAD SOMETHING SIMILAR TO THIS IN THE PAST AT A DIFFERENT RESTAURANT, I DECIDED I WAS IN THE MOOD TO HAVE IT AGAIN.  THEY LABELED THIS THE MALAYSIAN FRIED RICE $10.

WE ALSO ADDED A TUNA/CREAM CHEESE ROLL $6.

THE TEXTURE OF THE RAW TUNA WAS RIGHT ON TARGET.  REALLY LIGHT, YET FRESH ENOUGH WHERE YOU CAN TASTE THE SWEETNESS OF A FRESH RAW TUNA.
MY BROTHER GOT THE CHICKEN TERIYAKI $20, IN WHICH I THINK IS A WASTE BECAUSE IT IS BASICALLY GRILLED CHICKEN WITH SWEET SOY SAUCE (TERIYAKI) ON TOP OF IT WITH A BIT OF OTHER SIDE ITEMS. BUT, I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT THE SUSHI WAS REALLY FRESH!
