MY FIRST VISIT TO FOXTAIL COFFEE

FOXTAIL COFFEE
1282 N Orange Ave, Winter Park, FL 32789

MY RATING: 2.5 OF 5 STARS

EXPLORED ANOTHER COFFEE SHOP AND WAS CRAVING FOR A GREEN TEA AS SOON AS I SPOTTED IT ON THE MENU. 12 OZ. MATCHA GREEN TEA = $3.75
I NEED TO COME BACK AND TRY THEIR COFFEE. I WENT WITH E.G. AND SHE HAD A REGULAR COFFEE. MY MATCHA GREEN TEA WAS MEDIOCRE FOR ME.

SHOULD HAVE ORDERED THIS INSTEAD....
COLD BREW FLIGHT OF 3 FOR $9.00
OVERALL IT IS A COOL PLACE TO CHILL-AX, HAVE A MEETING OR JUST BE IN YOUR OWN SOLO GROOVE. IT IS NOT A HUGE PLACE. BUT, I GUESS A TYPICAL SIZE COFFEE PLACE. YOU WALK IN AND THE CENTER IS LINED WITH A CART AND MINI TABLE FULL OF CUTE MERCHANDISE. IT IS A GOOD WAY TO DIRECT TRAFFIC IN A "U" SHAPE, AS IT LEADS YOU UP TO THE COUNTER WHERE YOU CAN ORDER YOUR DRINK AND DIRECTLY WALK OUT IF YOU ARE JUST PICKING IT UP TO GO.

TOWARDS THE BACK ON THE LEFT IS A BAR/STOOL AREA THAT HUGS THE WALL, LEADING TO THE RESTROOM.
ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THIS IS A COOL ROOM WHERE I READ SOMEWHERE THAT THEY HOLD CLASSES TO SHOW HOW COFFEE IS BREWED WITH THIS FUNKY-ANCIENT LOOKING COFFEE ROASTER.

THE DECOR GIVES OFF A MODERN FEEL. ALL THE FIXTURES AND FURNITURE COMPLIMENTS THE OVERALL RUSTIC TEXTURE THAT LEADS YOU ALL THE WAY TO THE BACK OF THE ROOM.

I REALLY WISH ORLANDO WOULD HAVE MORE OF THESE THEMED TYPE OF COFFEE PLACES TO LOUNGE IN. IT WOULD DEFINITELY GIVE ME AN EXCUSE TO MEET UP WITH MY FRIENDS OR EVEN GET SOME WORK DONE ON MY OWN.
I NEED TO COME BACK AND SHARE THE COLD BREW FLIGHT WITH SOMEONE.
HOPEFULLY, IT WOULD STILL BE ON THE MENU.

2017 FEB 23 ACHILLES ART CAFE ORLANDO

ARCHILLES ART CAFE
2869 Wilshire Dr #103, Orlando, FL 32835

MY RATING: 3 OF 5 STARS

WHERE WAS THIS AND WHY DIDN'T I FIND THIS EARLIER!
I'M NOT A COFFEE EXTRAORDINAIRE AND WASN'T INTO THE THEMED CAFE SCENE THAT IS QUITE POPULAR IN KOREA WHILE I WAS THERE. HOWEVER, MISSING IT NOW THAT IT IS CONSIDER AS A RARE KIND OF ESTABLISHMENT HERE.

ACCORDING TO ACHILLE'S WEBSITE, IT IS SAID THAT THEY OPENED AUGUST OF 2008. SO, IT'S BEEN IN BUSINESS AT THIS LOCATION FOR A WHILE. BUT, IT IS ALSO PRETTY HIDDEN IN THE METRO WEST AREA. I ALMOST CONTINUED DRIVING WHEN I ONLY SPOTTED "COFFEE SHOP" AND NOT IT'S FULL NAME.

THE VIBE OF THIS PLACE IS PRETTY WARM. THE STAFF ARE PRETTY FRIENDLY.
THE LITTLE AREAS SECTIONED BY A SET OF COFFEE TABLE AND COUCH GIVES AN INVITING FEEL TO GROUPS OR INDIVIDUALS TO LOUNGE AROUND.

I WAS LOOKING FOR SOMETHING THAT CAME CLOSE TO LOOKING LIKE THE ONE IN THE FRIEND'S EPISODE. THIS WILL HAVE TO DO FOR NOW.
I WAS INTRIGUED WITH THE FLAVORS OF THE LATTES AND ENDED UP GETTING THE LATTE WITH BUTTERBEER FLAVOR. IT WAS DELICIOUS!
THE PRICE SEEM TO BE IN THE PANERA RANGE. $8 FOR THE MOZZARELLA, PROVOLONE, SWISS CHEESE ON SOURDOUGH, AND TOMATO SOUP.

$8 FOR THE BEEF EMPANADA WITH SOUR CREAM, GUACAMOLE, AND TOMATO SALSA. THE GUAC AND SALSA TASTED FRESH!

PEACEFUL DURING CLOSING TIME!

I WOULD DEFINITELY BE BACK SOON, BUT NOT TOO SOON. I'M STILL ON THE HUNT TO FIND MORE CAFES NEAR ME.
